That is an open ended question. I can help you with the front tire, most run a bit more on a trike due to the increased weight.

So 41 should do for the front.

As for the rear, it depends, on the trike set up. All run different pressures. But a good starting point is from 26/28. More than that and the trike bounces you off the road, less than that the tires wear on the edges, also depends on the size of the rear tires. Wider tires are run with less, narrow ones with more up to 36 psi.

Whatever rides well, and wears even across the tire, without being low enough to heat the tire up.

Air pressure in the rear of a trike is very different, trike to trike, brand to brand. Recommendations vary greatly .

What manufacturer made your trike Fred? The tyre pressures vary from one manufacturer to the next. If you can't tell who made the trike, upload a picture and we should be able to advise you.

:byebye:Welcome to the forum, Fred.

A good way to do this is to air the rear tires up to the maximum printed on the side of the tire, then go for a ride.

After the tires warm up, check the pressure and judge how the rig rides. Then let out a couple of pounds and ride some more. You should get them adjusted in 20 to 30 miles.

Then the next morning, withthe tires cooled off, check what cold pressure you ended up with.

Motor makers make recommendations based on middle of the road info, as an example and not to change or capture this post Ford recommended 28 PSIG on a full size Bronco. On my own Bronco after reading their expert recommendation I set the pressures as they advised and then tested out the ride, handling, braking acceleration and over a two week period ended up with a 42 PSIG that seemed good.

Then a look at the side wall, will give the tire maximum air pressure and as long as your at that or below you should be fine.

The same criteria are evident with my QX4 and my 1100, there are recommendations and actual pressures that become evident as you drive in various conditions.

Your trike, being heavier, more or less stable at differing speeds and with the front tire being on the centre line more than a 2 wheeled bike will cause you to pressure up or down to get the feel, ride and any characteristics you require as long as you are meeting the static load and the maximum pressure formed into the tire.

Do you want performance and handling along with longevity, then the pressure will be decided by you as to whether your getting what you want.

Trial and error are great teachers...recommendations by makers of bikes, trikes and tires are usually for safety. With safety in your mind experimentation with the product is a very good way to find your answer. But just because you like what you have come up with does not mean you are wrong because someone else says something completely different.

I can not say exactly at what pressures and what profile tire you need to run, listen to those who have actual experiences with what you are now faced with and then decide, try and then decide again. What you do is not cast in stone, if you make a mistake you will feel it then change it. I think you will arrive at your best result in your own time. Why? Because you have posed the question.

There are many Trikers on board here, do exactly as you are doing and best of luck.

That looks like a CSC trike. 24-26psi solo or 28psi two-up is plenty. Any more thanthat bounces the rear about and makes the tire wear in the center, because the lower weight of a trike (compared to an auto, which is what the tires were designed to carry) means the whole tire width doesn't contact the road. Some trikers run as low as 20psi but thats rare.
